Van_Hoose_Amy222Amy Van Hoose, Triad’s District Curriculum Coordinator, is originally from St. Joseph, Michigan and graduated from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN.  She moved to Troy, IL when she married her husband Steve, a 1998 Triad graduate. She has been working in the district since 2008. Since then she has been a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher. She received her Master’s degree in Literacy Education from SIUE and graduated with her Specialist degree in Administration. She is currently enjoying her first year as the District Curriculum Coordinator. When not at work she loves to do family activities with her daughter, Audrey, and son, Henry.

Mike Wielgus, one of Triad’s Instructional Technology Coaches,  graduated from SIUE in 1999 with a degree in Elementary Education and was hired by Triad less than a week after graduating and has taught science, math, social studies, and English as core subjects. He moved into the exploratory world in 2005 with the creation of Career Lab and developed a 6th grade exploratory class called Tech Lab. He is currently a K-12 Instructional Technology Coach with the district. He received a master’s degree in Instructional Technology in 2006 from SIUE and another one in Educational Administration from McKendree University in 2012. He’s coached 7th grade baseball since the fall of 2000. He is a Google Certified Educator Level 1 & Level 2, a Google for Education Certified Trainer, and has presented at local and state conferences regarding various topics in educational technology.  He loves all thing technology especially photography, videography, and graphic design. He is married to a school nurse and they have three children.

Adam Geisen, one of Triad’s Instructional Technology Coaches, was raised in Nashville, TN.  He made his way to Saint Louis University where he graduated with degrees in English and Education in 2000. He student taught at Triad during that time and was lucky enough to be hired in 2001.  He’s been teaching and coaching in the high school since then. He has been married since 2003 to a teacher in a neighboring district and they have two beautiful twin boys. In the little spare time he has, he watches the Cardinals, learns about all things Google, plays classic rock and blues with his band Sweetbottom, and builds and sells guitar effects pedals.
